Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Pipelayer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in laying pipes for various utility projects, including water, sewer, and gas lines. This role requires a strong understanding of construction site operations and the ability to work with heavy equipment. The Pipelayer will be responsible for ensuring that all pipeline installations meet safety standards and project specifications.
Duties
- Lay and install various types of pipes, including PVC, HDPE, and concrete.
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to assist in pipeline installation.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of piping systems.
- Conduct utility locating to ensure safe digging practices.
- Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks as needed for pipe installations.
- Utilize pipe lasers to ensure accurate alignment and grading of pipelines.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist with welding tasks related to pipeline connections as required.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations on the construction site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pipelaying or related construction roles.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is essential; experience with dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and forklifts is preferred.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems and pipeline installation techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand construction plans.
- Experience in utility locating is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards on the job site.
- Previous experience in oil & gas industry projects is advantageous.
