Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Skid Steer Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation, with specific expertise in skid steer machinery used in asphalt and paving projects. This role involves working on various construction sites, supporting asphalt installation, concrete work, and other related tasks to ensure efficient project completion. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of construction site safety and mechanical systems, with the ability to operate multiple types of construction equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate skid steer loaders and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently on construction sites
  • Assist with asphalt paving, concrete mixing, and placement operations
  • Support concrete forming, finishing, and pumping activities as needed
  • Handle loader operation for material movement and site preparation
  • Assist with rebar installation and other foundational tasks
  • Operate excavators, dump trucks, and other commercial vehicles when required
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure safety standards are met
  • Follow all safety protocols and construction regulations during daily operations
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards

Experience

  • Proven experience operating skid steer loaders in a construction environment
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dump trucks, and concrete mixers
  • Experience with paving, concrete finishing, rebar installation, and concrete pumping preferred
  • Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and mechanical systems
  • Prior work on commercial or large-scale construction projects is highly desirable
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent is a plus
  • Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues is beneficial
