Join our team in building our community and learn skills for a career in road construction. Outdoor work, will train, participate and perform tasks to complete work on building a better community. This position will require a drug test, E-Verify and a valid drivers license or Florida identification. You will use tools and manual labor in this position. Safety gear and training will be part of the position.
Job Requirements
General labor in road construction involves a variety of physical tasks, including preparing the worksite, moving materials, assisting skilled workers, completing tasks assigned, asking for help when needed, ability to communicate with work team. Key duties include loading and unloading materials, cleaning up debris, spreading and leveling gravel or asphalt with shovels and rakes, and performing traffic control by placing and removing signs and cones. Other responsibilities can include digging trenches, operating basic equipment like compactors or saws, and hand tools, following directions. Guidance and instruction will be provided on site and tasks often involve heavy lifting.
