Job Description

We are seeking experienced Asphalt Equipment Operators to join our construction team. This role involves operating a variety of heavy machinery and equipment essential for paving and road construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction site operations, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a dynamic environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects while utilizing your expertise in equipment operation and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dump trucks, and concrete mixers to facilitate asphalt paving and road construction tasks
• Manage concrete pumping, finishing, and forming to ensure high-quality surface results
• Assist with rebar installation and other foundational tasks necessary for paving projects
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
• Coordinate with team members to execute project plans efficiently and safely on-site
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and construction standards throughout all operations
• Support the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including material handling and site organization

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, dump trucks, and concrete mixers
• Knowledge of paving techniques, concrete finishing, and rebar installation is highly desirable
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly
• Construction site experience with a focus on asphalt paving or roadwork preferred
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or experience with commercial vehicles is a plus
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials when necessary
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
• Prior experience with concrete pumping, forming, or mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment is advantageous
