Reinforcing Steel Installer / Rodbuster

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Reinforcing Steel Installers (Rodbusters) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for placing and securing steel bars (rebar) and mesh in concrete forms to reinforce structures such as bridges, roads, and other infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans to determine placement of rebar.
• Cut, bend, and tie rebar and mesh using hand tools and power tools.
• Position and secure steel reinforcement within formwork using wire, pliers, and other tools.
• Work closely with carpenters, concrete finishers, and other crew members to ensure proper alignment and reinforcement placement.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment while following all company and site safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Rodbuster or in reinforcing steel installation preferred.
• Ability to read construction drawings and follow technical specifications.
• Strong physical stamina; ability to lift, bend, and work in varying weather conditions.
• Familiarity with rebar tying tools, cutting equipment, and measuring devices.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.
