Job Description

Jones Benitez Corporation is a licensed and insured concrete construction management and consulting engineering company serving South Florida with over 20 years experience in the industry. Our services primarily include Heavy Civil Roadway and Bridge Construction.

We are looking for a project manager with 7- 10 years experience to assist in the management of our field operations. Will be working directly with our Job Superintendents and executive staff to ensure a high quality of work is being built within our budget and time constraints.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Specification Review Shop Drawing Preparation and Submission
Work Plans / Field Coordination Form-work Design
Quantity Takeoff and Field Measurements Monthly Pay Requisitions
Planning and Scheduling 3 Week Look Ahead / Job Schedule
Change Order recognition, documentation and realization
Material Acquisition Traffic Control Safety Inspections Effectively communicate project progress and issues
Plan, schedule and track project timelines and milestones to ensure project progress status is on schedule
Identify and resolve issues with projects
Deliver appropriate progress reports (verbally or e-mail) Maintain accurate Contract Documents.

Requirements:

Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience
7-10 years experience on roadway or bridge projects for FDOT
Must understand verbal and written instructions.
Time management skills including ability to perform multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and ability to work independently
Computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Familiar with the basic principles of civil and structural engineering, including construction and maintenance of structures and systems
Some projects involve a degree of travel. Ability to travel the south Florida area Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.
Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and provide own transportation to and from project sites
Skills in observation, deduction, and reasoning • Ability to understand and follow instructions
Ability to read drawings and specifications
Good math/accounting skills
Functions effectively as part of a team and dependable
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Experience:
FDOT: 5 years (Preferred)

Job Requirements

7- 10 years experience to assist in the management of our field operation- FDOT

Civil Engineering degree

 

Additional Information

Must be willing to travel to different jobsites

Salary will be defined per candidates experience and capabilities
