Experienced Asphalt Roller Operator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Roller Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation, specifically with asphalt rollers, and possess comprehensive knowledge of construction site procedures. This role involves operating specialized machinery to ensure the proper compaction of asphalt surfaces, contributing to high-quality paving projects. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt rollers and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to achieve proper compaction of asphalt surfaces.
• Assist with paving operations, including spreading and leveling asphalt materials.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth workflow on construction sites.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Support related tasks such as concrete forming, concrete finishing, rebar installation, and concrete pumping as needed.
• Assist with the operation of additional machinery such as loaders, excavators, dump trucks, and commercial vehicles.
• Follow all safety protocols and construction site regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and equipment usage.

Skills

• Proven experience operating asphalt rollers and heavy construction equipment.
• Strong knowledge of paving techniques, concrete finishing, and rebar installation.
• Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to operate loaders, excavators, dump trucks, and other commercial vehicles.
• Familiarity with concrete mixer operations and concrete pumping processes.
• Experience working on construction sites with a focus on commercial projects.
• Valid commercial driver’s license preferred for operating various vehicles on-site.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs.
