Equipment Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydrohalic systems, as well as proficiency in using diagnostic tools and welding. The Equipment Technician will play a crucial role in minimizing downtime and enhancing operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools, including ohmmeters.
- Perform repairs on equipment, including replacing worn or damaged parts.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with other technicians and departments to resolve equipment-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Equipment Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, particularly ohmmeters.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues.
