We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Laborer to join our construction team. This role involves working on various concrete and masonry projects, supporting the installation, finishing, and repair of concrete structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction site work, with experience in concrete-related tasks and the ability to operate various tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

Duties

  • Assist with concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing to ensure smooth and durable surfaces
  • Set up forms, rebar installation, and reinforcement for concrete structures according to blueprints and schematics
  • Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment necessary for concrete work
  • Perform tasks related to concrete forming, placement, and curing processes
  • Support masonry activities such as bricklaying, stucco application, and tile laying as needed
  • Assist with demolition, renovation, or restoration projects involving concrete or masonry components
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper equipment handling
  • Read blueprints and schematics to accurately execute construction plans
  • Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment required for project completion
  • Collaborate with team members on site to meet project deadlines and quality standards

Requirements

  • Prior construction site experience with a focus on concrete or masonry work preferred
  • Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques, rebar installation, and form setting
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, and heavy equipment safely
  • Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery and schematics reading skills beneficial
  • Experience with blueprint reading, metal stud framing, carpentry, roofing, or plastering is a plus
  • Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions
  • Familiarity with safety procedures on construction sites including heavy equipment operation and scaffolding safety measures
  • Valid driver’s license for commercial driving or operation of large vehicles is advantageous
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions from schematics or technical drawings
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety and quality workmanship
