This position will coordinate the logistics and movement of all construction related building materials for building highway and heavy construction projects and to assist in safe and efficient operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage all activities associated with Customer order intake, forecast of volume demands, in and outbound freight logistics.
Manage all material planning and scheduling activities; to drive raw materials, produce, package and ship the finished product.
Manage trucking fleet.
Ensure 100% on time delivery credibility to all customers.
Manage all inventory and shipping activities.
Maintain cost of inventory at or below stipulated goal.
Measure performance against established plans and schedules and establish corrective actions were warranted.
Report on monthly freight charges to finance.
Manage MRO purchase function.
Supports plant value analysis efforts.
Ensure that departmental goals meet the overall strategic plans of the business.
Ensures compliance to Standards of Business Conduct through familiarity with related policies and procedures. Train(s) and motivates subordinates in the importance of full compliance with the letter and spirit of such policies and procedures.
Comply with all management policies and procedures.
Perform projects and other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience working outdoors is required.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral instructions; communicate with supervisors, co-workers and the public.
  • Mechanical aptitude is desirable.
  • Previous experience in operating various types of heavy equipment preferred, but not required.

The employee is occasionally required to reach, push, and pull with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Physical dexterity may involve stretching, proper placement of legs, and use of arms and hands in repetitive motions. The employee must be able to maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities occurring at the site, including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.
