Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. This role involves performing repairs, maintenance, and inspections on various types of construction and mechanical equipment, including paving machinery, plant machines, aggregate equipment, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and more.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses issues on medium- and heavy-duty trucks and other equipment requiring repairs.

  • Operates and inspects machines and equipment to identify defects.

  • Dismantles devices using hoists and hand tools to access and remove defective parts.

  • Examines components and systems for loose, broken, or faulty parts.

  • Adjusts functional parts and control instruments as needed.

  • Performs repair and maintenance on brakes, suspension, steering components, electrical systems, hydraulics, and specialty systems such as cameras and proximity sensors.

  • Installs functional and structural parts in equipment.

  • Lubricates and cleans parts.

  • Starts and/or tests equipment to verify performance.

  • Welds broken parts and structural members.

Education/Experience:

  • 1–3 years of related experience preferred.

  • Hydraulic, pneumatic, diesel repair, and fabrication experience preferred.

  • Welding experience helpful.

  • High school diploma, GED, and/or trade school diploma in Heavy Equipment or Diesel Repair.

Minimum Skills and Requirements:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to perform strenuous work.

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and use measuring devices.
