The anticipation is over! It’s time to register for the 2024 FTBA Annual Convention! This fun-filled weekend is always highly anticipated by our membership and we don’t want you to miss out on all that we have planned. Join us at The JW Marriott Marco Island from August 1st through the 4th for our “Embracing Excellence” Annual Convention!

**The FTBA Room Block at the JW Marriott Marco Island is currently full. Attendees are encouraged to check the booking site regularly for additional availability. In the meantime, attendees are encouraged to reserve at the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort. The Hilton Marco Island is .5 miles from the JW property.**

Refund Policy: Full registration refunds will be given until June 7th. 50% registration refunds will be given until July 18th. Following July 18th, no refunds will be allowed. Activity fees are non-refundable.

We will be offering the following activities during the convention for an additional fee. You will need to purchase the activity when checking out in order to pay for your spot. These activity fees are non-refundable.

Golf Tournament: Saturday Morning – $300
Golf will be a four man scramble played at the Rookery at Marco. Breakfast, golf, and cart fees are included. Email Heather Hicks at [email protected] with any team pairing requests. All requests will be considered but can’t be guaranteed. Once purchased, this item cannot be refunded.

Fishing Tournament: Saturday Morning – $350
Deep sea fishing with six anglers per boat. Breakfast, transportation, and bait included. Email Heather Hicks at [email protected] with any pairing requests. All requests will be considered but can’t be guaranteed. Once purchased, this item cannot be refunded.

Your hotel room is NOT INCLUDED in your registration. In an effort to save rooms for registered attendees, the hotel room block will only be provided once you have completed registration. Rooms will be limited based upon the number of registered guests in your party, with a 2 room maximum per registration. Please read the full reservation restrictions here.

Award Orders

Safety Awards:
Requirements (must be verified on the company’s Jan.-Dec. 2023 OSHA log):
– Less than 150,000 man-hours with no lost-time injuries, or
– Between 150,000 and 250,000 man-hours with no more than 1 lost-time injury, or
– Over 250,000 man-hours with less than 1 lost-time accident per full increment of 250,000 man-hours worked

Members can apply for Safety Awards by completing the online application by June 21, 2024.

2024 Safety Award winners will be announced soon!

Safety Excellence Awards:
Safety Excellence Awards are meant to highlight our member companies with the top safety programs! These awards are divided into three groups based upon manhours worked in the previous year.

DBE Awards:
The DBE Award is given in recognition for meeting or exceeding the FDOT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Utilization Goal for the 2022-2023 federal fiscal year. If your company qualifies for this award, an email will be sent to the main contact for your company.

Best in Construction Awards:
The Best in Construction awards are meant to highlight those companies and individuals who worked on the most innovative, complex, and impactful projects around the state each year. FDOT is currently working on selections.

Silent Auction

The silent auction has always been a hit in the past and is a convention favorite for all those FTBA members who enjoy a little friendly competition. We are currently seeking items with a minimum value of $25 to be auctioned off. If you are interested in donating an item please return the donation form to Cynthia Hartsfield at [email protected]. If you have questions, please feel free to contact the FTBA Office.

Don’t forget, your company receives credit towards their TransPAC contribution total for any donated items!

Auction donation forms, and a picture of your item (if possible) are due by July 23rd. Please have all donated items sent to the FTBA office by July 23rd, or bring the item to the convention registration desk when checking-in.
